ENGINE ROOM

Omnibus Theatre on Monday Nov 19

Dynamic and talented theatre makers perform new work in front of an audience, often for the very first time. Engine Room puts you at the heart of the creative process – these artists want to hear what you think.

“Cure sometimes, heal often, comfort always.”

Francis, a young off-duty policeman stands on Hornsey Lane Bridge (a notorious suicide spot) looking down at the traffic flowing underneath towards Archway.

Fifi, an older woman who has difficulty distinguishing delusion from reality, stands watching.

Can they find salvation in each other?

This new play by Philip Osment will form the basis of an NHS training programme which explores perceptions of mental illness using theatre devising techniques to facilitate a greater openness about lived experience.
